Admission Requirements for the MPhil Program

Applicants having an M.Sc Mathematics degree or a four year B.S. Mathematics degree are eligible to apply. Result awaiting applicants of their final exam or those in the final semester of the M.SC or the four years B.S. program can also apply. Admission to the program will be based upon past academic performance, admission test and interview conducted by the School. The School will require exclusive time commitment from its students. Financial assistance will be provided to the students, subject to the availability of funds.

The MPhil admission test will have the following format.

Objective part 60%

(90 minutes)




(30 minutes)

Subjective part 40%

(90 minutes)

This part will be MCQs.



Analytic/logical reasoning


This part will consist of five questions from the list of topics given here.

  • The last date to apply for admission is July 11, 2023.
  • The admission test will be communicated.
  • Only short-listed candidates will be called for the interview.
